San Sebastián, in Spain's Basque Country, is a stylish city renowned for its excellent beaches, fine architecture, culture and wealth of traditional tapas bars and Michelin star restaurants. The three stunning beaches of golden sand are fringed by the clear waters of the Cantabrian Sea. The charming cobbled streets and meandering alleyways of the old town hide a wealth of attractions, shopping opportunities and bustling markets.

Note: The hotel is located in a stunning location on a clifftop and can be accessed by a funicular railway. There is a bus stop at the bottom of the railway for easy access to San Sebastian old town and promenade.

We travel to Portsmouth boarding the overnight Brittany Ferry to Santander. (Meals not included on board ship).
We disembark and transfer to our hotel.
After a leisurely breakfast we meet our local guide for a morning sightseeing walking tour to include the Bretxa food market, where you can view and taste some of the finest local produce. We stop to enjoy a traditional Pintxos lunch in the Old Town before continue our walking tour along the stunning La Cocha Bay. Tonight we include a cider dinner evening.
Today we visit the Basque coast visiting the typical coastal village of Getaria, with its long fisherman lifestyle tradition, we include a guided walk and stop at a preserved anchovy factory. We visit a local winery and taste the white sparkling wine exclusive to the region. Lunch is booked before we visit Zumaia for a short guided walking tour before boarding our private boat to discover the Flysch, a unique geological landscape.
A relaxing day at leisure in San Sebastian.
We visit the French resort of Biarritz. We include a guided walk visiting the Hôtel du Palais, the Casino, the fishermen port and market. We continue to Saint Jean de Luz where we visit the well known Saint-Jean-Baptiste Church. We return to San Sebastian we have arranged farewell dinner at the Ni-Neu Restaurant, Kursaal.
We depart the hotel and travel to Santander and time permitting the opulent beach resort of El Sardinero with Its elegant cafes, colourful gardens. We then board the ferry for the return overnightcrossing (meals not included on board ship).
We arrive in the UK and complete our journey home.
