Plan My Trip

Day 1
Following the Channel crossing we continue to our overnight bed and breakfast accommodation in Metz.

Day 2
Travel through France to Lake Garda for two nights half-board accommodation.

Day 3
Today we have arranged a privately chartered boat so you can sample the wondrous sights of Lake Garda. Our cruise will take us to Sirmione, perched on the southern most peninsular of the lake and dominated by its 13th Century castle.

Day 4
Depart Lake Garda and make our way to Rome – Italy’s capital, the eternal city!

Day 5
We take a walking guided tour of Rome to include the famous sights such as the Pantheon, Spanish Steps, Vatican City and Trevi Fountain to name but a few. We will take the Rome Metro for part of the tour to reach the famous landmarks and sights.

Day 6
After breakfast we carry on south to the beautiful 6th Century Benedictine Abbey of Montecassino. Later, our journey continues to the petrified city of Pompeii, where time stood still as Vesuvius’s ashes buried the Roman city for centuries. We continue along the Neapolitan peninsula to arrive at the Grand Hotel Moon Valley in Sorrento.

Day 7
We visit the Island of Capri for a full tour of the island along with a visit to Anacapri. We then board a boat to visit the Blue Grotto a beautiful cave where the water sparkles as the sunlight streams through and creates a turquoise effect. We return to Sorrento in time for dinner.

Day 8
Today’s excursion is taken by local coach for a spectacular scenic journey along the Amalfi Coast. Our first stop is the Emerald Grotto in Conca dei Marini where we travel in rowing boats into the vast caverns. We continue along the coastal road to the brightly painted town of Positano before arriving at Amalfi with its sunny piazza. There will be time to explore Amalfi before continuing to Ravello, nestled 365 metres above the Tyrrhenian Sea.

Day 9
We head to the rolling hills of Tuscany dotted with ancient farmlands and lush vineyards before arriving in Florence and our hotel.

Day 10
After breakfast we take the train into Florence, the heart of Italian art and culture to meet our guide who will take us on a walking tour of the city. We return back to the hotel by train.

Day 11
We bid farewell to Florence and travel to Aosta for overnight stay and dinner.

Day 12
We travel through Italy into France to the Troyes area in time for dinner and overnight bed and breakfast accommodation.

Day 13
Continue to Calais and complete the journey home.
