Plan My Trip

Day 1
Travel to Caernarfon

Days 2-4
We board the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railway for a 25 mile scenic journey starting from beneath Caernarfon’s castle walls climbing from sea level to over 650ft on the foothills of Snowdon, before zig-zagging dramatically down the steep hillside to reach Beddgelert, nestling in the heart of the National Park, then through the magnificent Aberglaslyn Pass on to Porthmadog, surely one of the best ways to experience the beauty of the Snowdonia National Park is to relax in a comfortable narrow gauge carriage. We continue to Portmeirion built by Clough Williams-Ellis between the years 1925 to 1973 on his own private peninsula on the coast of Snowdonia.Anglesey - A half day tour travelling over the Menai Straits to Anglesey where we visit Llanfair.PG and Beaumaris, famous for its castle built by Edward I after his defeat of the Welsh princes.Bodnant Gardens & Llandudno - travel to the world-famous Bodnant Gardens noted for its botanical collections. Marvel at plants from all over the world grown from seed and cuttings collected over a century ago on plant-hunting expeditions. Created by five generations of one family, the garden is superbly located, with spectacular views across Snowdonia. With expansive lawns and intimate corners, grand ponds and impressive terraces, a steep wooded valley and stream, as well as awe-inspiring plant collections, there are continually changing glorious displays of colour. Due to the garden being located on a hillside some of the compacted gravel paths have steep slopes and steps to terraces. We continue to Llandudno; one of Britain’s finest Victorian seaside resorts bringing together a lively mix of fun and entertainment. Its long crescent promenade, wide shopping streets, a perfect destination whether you’re riding the famous tramway or taking tea in the award winning tearoom at the Victoria shopping centre.
