Limburg, the southernmost province in the Netherlands, is bordered by Belgium and Germany allowing the opportunity to highlight the different characteristics and attractions of the regions during a comfortable and relaxing tour. Valkenburg is a popular tourist destination, overlooked by castle ruins the pretty town has caverns with drawings dating back to Roman times, green parks plus a variety of shops, restaurants and bars.

Following our Channel crossing we continue to our hotel in Valkenburg.
Today we travel into the Belgian Ardennes. We visit La Roche-en-Ardennes with its souvenir shops, cafés and restaurants and where you can visit the local wartime museum (entry not included). We continue via the Welsh Memorial in the village of Hotton to Durbuy with its quaint narrow cobbled streets and lovely shops that sell local specialities.
We travel to the picturesque half timbered town of Monschau in the Eifel Mountains. We return via the village of Margraten and the Netherlands American Cemetery and Memorial, Europe’s third largest war cemetery for unidentified soldiers who died in World War II.
We travel to Maastricht, one of the oldest cities in Holland with a historic inner city, churches, city walls, merchant houses and a varied range of shops. We continue to the Monto Verde world gardens where you can visit the most beautiful places in the world in one day as you pass through gardens with a huge variety of flora, fauna and decorative elements from different countries and continents.
We depart for Calais and complete the journey home.
