The High Peaks & Bakewell - Travel to the town of Glossop, with its Victorian Mills before negotiating the notorious Snake Pass to the Ladybower Reservoir, with the ruins of Derwent village submerged between the waters since 1943. This reservoir and the neighbouring Howden and Derwent reservoirs were used as practice ranges for the wartime Dambusters raids. We continue to Bakewell and visit the Original Bakewell Pudding shop.Sheffield - Stay in Sheffield and get a taste of the cities history visiting the Kelham Island Museum. We continue to historic Lincoln with its magnificent Cathedral. The old town is a labyrinth of little alleyways and interesting shops and a choice of cafes and pubs. We have included an afternoon cruise from Lincoln’s Brayford Wharf along the Fossdyke Navigation..
