Another of Penshurst’s splendors is the 11 acre formal walled garden, with records dating back to 1346. One of the oldest gardens in private ownership, it remains much as it was when constructed by Sir Henry Sidney in the Elizabethan era.Leeds Castle - Known as “the loveliest castle in the world”, visitors never forget their first breathtaking vision of Leeds Castle in Kent, rising majestically from the moat as it has done for almost 900 years.
