We begin the holiday travelling to Carmarthen for a return journey on the Gwili railway before completing the journey to Cardigan.
At leisure in resort plus we include the following excursions:Dolaucothi Gold Mines & Cenarth - A leisurely day visiting the Dolaucothi Gold mines where we have arranged a guided tour of the unique underground mine workings. See and hear the 1930’s mine and its machinery, have a go at gold panning and take the opportunity to experience the frustrations of searching for real gold. The tour does encounter some steep slopes and strong footwear is recommended. We return via the village of Cenarth with its spectacular falls and National Coracle Centre.St David's - travel to the Cathedral city of St David’s, built upon the site of a 6th century monastery, the Cathedral has been a site of pilgrimage and worship for many hundreds of years. We take the coastal road travelling via Solva and Newgale to Haverfordwest returning to Cardigan in time for dinnerNewquay & Aberaeron - We travel to Newquay with its picturesque houses, pubs and restaurants clinging to the sides of the hills rising above the blue waters of Cardigan Bay. We then continue to Aberaeron, Ceredigion’s Georgian Jewel of a town.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The Dolaucothi Gold Mines Tour can be very challenging due to the amount of steps and steep climbs involved. The ground is gravelled and therefore difficult to access with prams/wheelchairs. There are approximately 70 steps to climb up/down into both the Roman & Victorian Mines.
