We make our way to Camarthen for free time before enjoying a nostalgic return journey on the Gwilli Railway
A leisurely day visiting the Dolaucothi Gold Mines where we have arranged a guided tour of the unique underground mine workings. See and hear the 1930’s mine and its machinery and have a go at gold panning. We return via the village of Cenarth with its spectacular falls.
We travel to the cathedral city of St David’s, the smallest city in the UK. Later we take the coastal road travelling via Solva, Newgale and Haverfordwest.
Today’s excursion is to the town of Newquay with its picturesque houses, pubs and restaurants clinging to the sides of the hills, rising above the waters of Cardigan Bay. We then continue to Aberaeron, Ceredigion’s Georgian jewel of a town.
Dolaucothi Gold Mines – the tour does encounter some steep slopes and strongfootwear is recommended.
