We enjoy a leisurely Lochside drive to Oban, Scotland's "Gateway to the Isles" to catch the forty-minute crossing to Isle of Mull. Look out for Eilean Musdale Lighthouse and the imposing Duart Castle which will be our first port of call. Enjoy a welcome talk, free time to soak up the beauty of the castle rooms followed by tea and scones. Afterwards we head to the island's capital Tobermory well known for its colourful houses and shop fronts.
Excursion 2
Time free in Fort William before a short tour exploring the area. Watch boats navigating the eight locks of Neptune's Staircase in Banavie, then to Spean Bridge taking in the best views of Ben Nevis. Stop for photos at The Commando Monument. Completing the day with a cable car ride 2200ft into the mountains adjacent to Ben Nevis for a birds-eye view of Fort William and its lochs.
Excursion 3
Board the train in Fort William on the most scenic railway journey in Britain as it meanders through glens, along loch sides and over the breath-taking twenty-one arched Glenfinnan Viaduct. Arriving in Mallaig your coach awaits to board the ferry "Over the sea to Skye". Take in the rugged scenery of southern Skye, including the Cuillin Mountains before stopping for an included lunch. We leave Skye over the bridge at Kyle, stopping at Famous Eilean Donan Castle, Scotland's second most photographed castle. As the road climbs steadily through Glen Shiel the Five Sisters of Kintail come into sight and we return to our hotel.
