A city steeped in history, Winchester is England's ancient capital and former seat of King Alfred the Great. With world class attractions and architecture including a magnificent college, award-winning pubs and restaurants and a tempting array of independent shops, Winchester combines the best of city life with the freshness of the surrounding countryside. Our weekend break also takes us to Salisbury, with it's imposing Cathedral which houses an original copy of the Magna Carta and a popular market - we visit on Market Day and a visit to mythical Stonehenge, this UNESCO World Heritage site is widely recognized as one of the most important prehistoric sites in the world.

Day One
We visit the University City of Oxford en-route to our hotel on the outskirts of Winchester
Day Two
We head into the lovely city of Salisbury this morning, visit the stunning Cathedral - home to an original copy of the Magna Carta or head to the Market Square as today it's market day. We leave early afternoon for our visit to Stonehenge, Experience the unforgettable atmosphere of the Stone Circle and follow in the footsteps of the prehistoric people who lived here 4,000 years ago as you walk among the Neolithic houses. Dig deeper in the world-class exhibition, and take time to explore the monuments and mysteries of the wider Stonehenge landscape
Day Three
We pop into nearby Winchester to enjoy free time in this delightful Cathedral City - the ancient capital of England with plenty for you to explore and see. Leaving here around 2pm, we return back to the North West for approx. 6.30pm
