From the stunning and iconic locations of Holy Island and Bamburgh to more remote locations you'll be immersed in all things Vera. Our holiday is based in bustling Newcastle, which features many filming locations too, plus a vibrant centre to keep you busy.

Day One
We head to Newcastle enjoying a visit to the Land of the Prince Bishops - Durham, with its UNESCO World Heritage Castle & Cathedral Site overlooking the River Wear.

Day Two
Macs and rain hats are optional today as we head off on our guided Vera locations tour. The show is both set in and filmed in Newcastle upon Tyne and throughout the North East of England. Our full-day tour will feature coastal locations of Northumberland to, Holy Island, the fictional home of Vera. Other locations will include Amble, Warkworth, Alnmouth and Bamburgh. After venturing off the beaten track through the stunning Hinterland of Northumberland and brushing some of the more remote locations featured on Vera. You will get to visit more than 15 actual locations from episodes all the way through ten years of Vera.

Day Three
A free day to enjoy the many delights of Newcastle, perhaps join a walking tour or simply explore at your own pace.

Day Four
Exploring some more of Northumberland today, we start firstling in the bustling town of Morpeth, here you'll find quaint cobbled streets and trendy cafes and wine bars, and today it's market day too. Following free time here we head out to the coast and follow it down to Tynemouth to enjoy some fresh sea air in this historic town.

Day Five
We enjoy a scenic journey home and visit the town of Barnard Castle as we head from East back to West.
