Excursion 1
We enjoy a morning visit to the historic Market town of Carmarthen, following free time around the town we make the short journey Abergwilli Junction Station to join our afternoon Steam Train Journey. Set in beautiful countryside with abundant wildlife, the line follows the River Gwili on a steady uphill journey through farmland and wooded hillsides. This journey lasts 90-minutes and is scheduled to be hauled on all dates by a steam locomotive.
Excursion 2
We head west to the smallest city in the UK - St David's, named after the patron saint of Wales who lived here in the 5th Century. The magnificent Cathedral at St Davids dates back to the 12th century, although several older cathedrals were built before that on the same site. Modern day St Davids is a quaint and character-full place much loved by everyone who knows it. Our return to Tenby calls in at nearby Saundersfoot a lovely compact village with harbour and large sweeping beach.
