EXCURSION 1: Through the delightful scenery of Lancashire today passing through Clitheroe as we head to Settle a bustling market town in the foothills of the Pennines. After free time we continue to the historic market town of Kirkby Lonsdale situated at the gateway to the Lake District.
EXCURSION 2: Avoiding the motorway today as we travel to the lovely market town of Garstang where we enjoy free time before heading to another of Lancashire's seaside favourites - Morecambe. Stroll along the golden sands have a coffee or an ice cream in one of the cafés lining the seafront, or visit the Eric Morecambe statue which looks out across the Promenade.
Inn on the Prom Hotel * * *
We are delighted to be staying at the fabulous 3*, family run Inn on the Prom Hotel, which as the name suggests is on the Promenade in lovely St. Annes on Sea. The town centre is a few minutes walk away and pretty gardens and historic Pier are just across the road, the town centres of Lytham and Blackpool are also close by and easily accessible. Relaxing is easy at the Inn on the Prom, whether it be in your comfortable bedroom, the lovely spacious lounge area or in Nivens health club and spa, which is complete with indoor pool, sauna & Jacuzzi. Dine in style in Vettriano's restaurant with table service at evening meals offering a varied selection of traditional dishes with ingredients sourced locally where possible.
