Described by the ancient Welsh Celts and the Saxons as the Land of the Summer People, Somerset is a county of captivating contrasts and our five day holiday enjoys some of these. We stay at the traditional seaside holiday resort of Weston Super Mare, with its historic pier, long promenade and fine sandy beach and enjoy excursions to medieval Dunster & Minehead in the scenery of Exmoor and sample some of the county's most famous exports as we visit Cheddar and enjoy a tour & tasting at a local Cider Farm.

Included Excursions
Excursion 1 We enjoy a full day tour taking us to West Somerset and our first stop is medieval Dunster with its magnificent castle, market place and yarn market together forming one of the finest sights in England. This afternoon we head for the coast and visit another popular holiday resort Minehead.
Excursion 2
A short trip today and our first stop is the cheese town Cheddar, maybe buy yourself one of the many varieties they have on sale. After a short stop here we visit a local Cider Farm for a tour and tasting.
Grand Atlantic Hotel * * *
Just metres from the beach and the Grand Pier with panoramic views across the Bristol Channel, the Atlantic is a lovely Victorian 'Grand' Hotel and the perfect place to stay for a seaside short break. The spacious bedrooms each feature a TV, a telephone and a private bathroom with a hairdryer, sea view rooms are available at a supplement. Lifts
