Winnock Hotel, Drymen * * *
At first sight on approaching the Winnock, nestling around the green in pretty Drymen village, you are strongly reminded of the magical romance of Brigadoon. The Winnock offers traditional bars and log fires along with friendly hospitality and excellent cuisine. The hotel is family run by David and Frances Warnes and their helpful team. All rooms are en-suite and offer satellite TV and tea and coffee making facilities. Please note the Winnock does not offer a lift however bedrooms are all on the ground or first floor
Included Excursions
EXCURSION 1: Today we head for the lovely town of Callendar, enjoying the beautiful scenery of the National Park as we go, beautiful Lochs, waterfall, rivers and mountains will have you reaching for your camera. We travel via Aberfoyle, through the Queen Elizabeth Forest Park, passing Loch Achray, Loch Venachar before arriving in Callendar.
EXCURSION 2: Another glorious day out as we explore Loch Lomond. We drive firstly to Luss, famous for the filming of TV series 'Take to Highway'. After a short break here we offer an optional sail (approx. 1hr) on Loch Lomond. We then continue through spectacular scenery through Inverbeg as we head towards Tarbet with views of the magnificent Ben Lomond across the Loch. Onward then passing Arrochar, Loch Long the Argyll forest - look out for the Cobbler to your right, as we make our way to Loch Fyne, Loch Shira and Inverary.
