Scotland is simply breathtaking as the colours of Autumn transform the mountain and valley landscapes. Deep reds, golds, purples, copper and russets as far as the eye can see offer a visual feast and make October a special time to visit Scotland. Our holiday includes visits to Glamis Castle and its stunning gardens, the Famous Grouse Whisky Distillery and a visit to the Enchanted Forest, set in stunning woodland close to Pitlochry the forest sits as an amazing natural backdrop for this light show which is quite simply out of this World

Day One
We head North into Scotland taking in some beautiful scenery as we go, we arrive at our hotel with time to settle in before dinner.

Day Two
We visit one of Scotland's most picturesque countryside views and Queen Victoria's favourite - Queens View at the head of Loch Tummel, from here we travel lochside enjoying the purple clad hillsides and rustic Autumn leaves. We travel through Aberfeldy and Kenmore and continue with the Autumnal views as we pass Loch Tay, Killin and Loch Earn to arrive at the spiritual home of the Famous Grouse & Glenturret Distillery -Scotland's oldest and most visited. Here we enjoy a tour and tasting.

Day Three
We make the short journey to the Queen Mothers childhood home - Glamis Castle. The Castle itself is a place to admire, with stunning architecture and a proud long standing history with myths and legends. The grounds this time of year come alive with Autumnal colour with various trails to explore. We enjoy an early dinner this evening before heading off to the Enchanted Forest - Suitable footwear for walking along the lit footpaths will be required as you explore natures forces of Earth, Wind and Fire, with dazzling visuals and innovative design against the backdrop of the Woodland

Day Four
Enjoy a free morning in Dunkeld and spend the afternoon in lovely Pitlochry, giving you the chance to mix with the locals and a bit of shopping on the high street.

Day Five
Leaving Pitlochry we return back to the North West for approx. 4.30pm

The Royal Dunkeld is a historic hotel, built around 1810 in the picturesque little town of Dunkeld. The phrase "Eat, drink and be merry" comes to life in the Restaurant, Bar & Bistro all serving fresh, local produce. Bedrooms are en-suite with TV and tea/coffee making facilities. No lift, rooms are on 1st & 2nd floors.
