Peak District, Bakewell Market & Eyam Village
We head into the stunning Peak District to enjoy a morning visit to lovely Bakewell and today is Market Day. Leaving after lunch we enjoy more lovely scenery as we travel to the visit the historic village of Eyam - this idyllic village has a very significant past. When the Plague came to the village in 1665 via a piece of cloth sent from London the villagers took it upon themselves to Quarantine to avoid spreading the Plague to nearby Sheffield - the village Museum and Church are great places to see and hear about this sacrifice.
