Excursion 1
Heading into the Norfolk Broads today and to the beautiful village of Horning where we board our 1 & 1/2 hour sail on board the Southern Comfort - Mississippi Paddle Boat, purpose built to sail on the Broads. This luxury cruiser sails along the River Bure passing lovely old thatched house, windmills and Norfolk Reed Bed. We return to Norwich this afternoon for free time to explore this delightful city.
Excursion 2
We head through the lovely Norfolk scenery to stunning Sandringham. We spend the full day exploring the house which dates back to 1870, the beautiful gardens, country park and the museum which houses an extraordinary collection ranging from the very large - the 1939 Merryweather fire engine - to the very small - tiny Indian doll dancers in the Curio Cupboard - and from the grand - gifts in pearl and exotic hardwoods given to The Queen on State Visits abroad - to the personal - the clock used in the Royal Pigeon Lofts at Sandringham to time her Majesty's racing pigeons
Excursion 3
Todays excursion is to the North Norfolk Heritage Coast and the wonderful Georgian market town of Holt, where we board 'The Poppy Line', for a heritage steam train ride with stunning views of the Norfolk countryside and coastline through to Sheringham, a traditional seaside town which grew up around its old fishing village. We then continue to the lovely coastal resort of Cromer, famous for its pier and tasty crabs
