The Metropole is elegant and historic and privately run, the current owner is the great great Gransdson of the original Victorian owner. The large restaurant with conservatory offers delicious menu choices and beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. The traditionally styled bedrooms offer TV, tea/coffee making facilities and hairdryer. A lift serves all floors and leisure facilities include indoor pool, spa bath and steam room.

Included Excursions

EXCURSION 1: Today we enjoy a stunning scenic excursion featuring the dramatic coast of Cardigan Bay and mountain scenery of Snowdonia. Our first stop is Machynlleth, the 'ancient capital of Wales' and the site of the first Welsh Parliament, from here we travel along the shores of the Dovey Estuary to pretty Tywyn where we enjoy our lunchstop. Then it's back into the glorious Welsh countryside, passing mighty Cadir Idris, looming nearly 3,000 feet above the town of Dolgellau, and we'll take an afternoon stop at Meirion Mill.

EXCURSION 2: Today we travel through the mountains to the beauty spot of Devil's Bridge, where we'll pause for photo's before continuing on to the seaside resort of Aberystwyth, stunning situated on Cardigan Bay, nestled between three hills. Colourful Victorian and Edwardian terraces line the seafront and the 2km promenade is always buzzing with locals and tourists alike.
