Day One
We make the most of our first day and head straight to Llangollen Wharf, where our Horse drawn Canal Boat will we waiting to take us along one of the most beautiful canals in Britain. Experience for yourself the pace of life in "the olden days", and admire the strength of the gorgeous horses as they easily pull your boat through the water. From one nostalgic mode of transport to another as we transfer to the Llangollen Steam Railway and enjoy a wonderful journey following the River Dee through 10 miles of the Dee Valley to the end of the line at Corwen. We then make our way to Ludlow.
Day Two
Enjoy a free day in Ludlow today, and it's market day. Explore the historic town centre and 11th Century Ludlow Castle, the town also has a reputation for the quality of its food and drink with many excellent restaurants and cafes encouraged by the area's abundance of quality food & drink producers.
Day Three
HopHopping over to Wales today we enjoy a scenic drive and a morning stop off in the lovely small market town of Builth Wells. From here there's more spectacular scenery as we head to the quirky border town of Hay on Wye - a book lovers dream where we spend the afternoon.
Day Four
A scenic excursion with two lovely stops today, the first being the attractive Georgian town of Bewdley, nestled on the River Severn you'll find a lovely Riverside and shopping area and plenty of pubs, cafes and restaurants. Our second stop is the lovely City or Worcester with imposing Cathedral and historic centre
Day Five
It's time to head form home, but we've one more visit, and a Boat trip too - we're off to Shrewsbury. We start with a Boat Trip along the Severn and enjoy listening to the history of the area. Then enjoy free time here before returning back to the North West for around 4.30pm
