Based around the lovely town of Llangollen, this special weekend break will be full of highlights. The stunning scenery the Horseshoe Pass, and Snowdonia National Park? A journey on the Llangollen Steam Railway, and an amazing sail over the 18 Arches of the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, the oldest and longest navigable aqueduct in Great Britain and the highest in the world.

Day One
We travel to Llangollen to spend free time in this lovely town, steeped in myth and legend with the River Dee flowing through.

Day Two
We join the Llangollen Railway, for a 10 mile steam train journey on Wales’ only standard gauge heritage railway. We then travel into the Snowdonia National Park we enjoy a stop at Bala Lake before continuing to the coast for a stop at Barmouth. Returning to our hotel with an abundance of spectacular scenery.

Day Three
A late morning 2 hour canal trip takes us through the beautiful Vale of Llangollen and across the famous Pontcysyllte Aqueduct. This length of canal is a World Heritage Site and is simply amazing. Our day continues with a breathtaking drive over the Horseshoe Pass via Ruthin and St. Asaph before returning back to the North West for approx. 6pm.
