We are delighted to offer you a stay at the excellent Burlington Hotel, standing in its own grounds and set in tranquil surroundings overlooking the English Channel, the hotel, built back in the 1890's retains its Victorian charm whilst offering all the mod cons expected by today's discerning traveller. EXCURSION 1: Leaving Folkestone we follow the coast to Dungeness - did you know it is home to one of the largest expanses of shingle in the World and is classified as Britain's only desert by the met office!! From here we board a wonderful narrow gauge railway which follows the coast for 13 miles of picturesque countryside along the Romney Marsh and our journey ends in Hythe. We spend the afternoon in this popular seaside town.
EXCURSION 2: We visit the stunning City of Canterbury, with its Cathedral dominating the medieval streets within the city walls. A lovely cosmopolitan atmosphere gives a laid back feel as you wander along the River Stour or the busy high street.Back to top
