Our base is Lynton, a vibrant Victorian village offering a quaint mix of past and present and linked to picturesque Lynmouth by the Cliff Railway, the highest and steepest fully water powered Victorian railway in the World! Lynmouth provides a romantic escape from modern living with its rows of charming fishing cottages and shops that cluster around the pretty harbour of gently bobbing boats.

Excursion 1
Heading East and following the North Devon Coast, the scenery of Exmoor will amaze you as we travel to medieval Dunster. Here you’ll be greeted by A fairy tale castle perched high on a hill. An iconic Yarn Market. Charming shop fronts nestled side-by-side upon cobbled streets.
Excursion 2
Today we head West through Exmoor and pass through Combe Martin as we head for Ilfracombe, a traditional English Seaside town and home to Verity – Damien Hirsts 66 foot stainless steel and bronze sculpture.

This grand, Grade II listed building sits on a clifftop location in Lynton from which you can descend the hill down to Lynmouth and its beaches in the Cliff Railway funicular train, built in 1890.
