Our extended week long holidays to Eastbourne not only visit historic towns on the South Coast but we also head inland for an excursion to Hever Castle & gardens. Anne Boleyn's childhood home dates back to the 13th Century and formed an unlikely backdrop to a sequence of tumultuous events that changed the course of Britain's history, monarchy and religion.

Excursion 1
We head West and take the coast road via Beachy Head and through the picturesque Seven Sisters to Brighton. This vibrant town offers so much for its visitors, enjoy the Pier, a walk along the Promenade – head up the British Airway i360 to experience stunning views, visit the Pavilion or enjoy shopping in the Lanes.
Excursion 2
Heading East today for a visit to Bexhill on Sea, With its Victorian and Edwardian architecture wide-level promenade, gently sloping beach, famous 1930's De La Warr Pavilion and the newly-renovated King George V Colonnade, with gift shops and Tea Beside the Sea café. Venturing inland in the town centre, you'll find independent shops and quality restaurants. This afternoon we continue along the coast and visit the historic town of Hastings.
Excursion 3
North and inland today as we head to Hever Castle & Gardens, explore the exquisite rooms of this historic Castle which house fine furniture, tapestries and artwork, whilst the award winning gardens sit in 125 acres of grounds.

What a wonderful setting the Cumberland Hotel has - on Eastbourne's famous Grand Parade overlooking the famous Carpet Gardens, Bandstand & Victorian Pier. You'll find classical elegance in the sea facing lounges and Wordsworth Restaurant. Bedrooms are tastefully decorated and off TV, hairdryer & tea/coffee making facilities, sea view rooms & rooms with shared balcony are available at a supplement. Lifts to all floors.
