Excursion 1
Our day begins with a journey on the longest heritage railway in England - the West Somerset Railway which takes us on a spectacular journey from Bishops Lydeard out towards the sea and finishing our journey at Minehead. The journey takes approx. 1 hour & 20 minutes and passes lovely scenery as we go. Once in Minehead we’ll have a little free time before we re-join our coach and make the short journey to nearby Dunster. This is a wonderfully preserved medieval town with a distinct history.
Excursion 2
It’s over the border and into Devon and to the the ancient market town of Tiverton where we begin with a horse-drawn barge trip and watch the world go by very peacefully along the idyllic Grand Western Canal - a little bit of ‘heaven’ in Devon! We’ll follow this with some free time in Tiverton.
Excursion 3
