Enjoy a magnificent weekend break combining the stunning scenery of the beautiful Lake District with a journey on the Settle - Carlisle Railway which is without doubt one of Britain's most spectacular Railway Lines. The 72 mile journey passes Yorkshire's famous Three Peaks and travels over a 24 span viaduct with hardly a dull moment on board much of the scenery cannot be seen by other modes of transport.

PLEASE NOTE: Price is per person and based on two people sharing a twin/double room. Single room supplements and upgrades are not included.
Day One
We head North towards to the beautiful Lake District, enjoying a stop off in Kendal before continuing to Lake Windermere and a further stop in lovely Bowness. Explore the towns many shops and enjoy the lakeside location before we continue our journey through the beautiful Cumbrian scenery as we pass through Troutbeck and Patterdale then following the shores of Ullswater and continuing on to our hotel.
Day Two
After breakfast we make our way into Carlisle to enjoy free time in Englands most Northerly City. From here we board the early afternoon Train which takes us throughto Settle, enjoying the breathtaking sceneryas you travel the 72 miles through unspoilt countryside. On arrival in Settle you will be met by your coach, and we then return back to the North West for approximately 6pm.

You'll find excellent accommodation in ideal surroundings in the dramatic Shap Fells. Bedrooms in the hotel are comfortable with en-suite bathroom, TV & tea/making facilities. Your evenings can be spent relaxing in one of the peacefully elegant lounges or bars.
