Excursion 1
We travel to the Highland Capital - Inverness, to enjoy some free time before driving along the shoreline of Loch Ness where we explore and take in its grand scale. Brimming with history, and tales of the world's shyest monster. We then board a two hour cruise at the Locks of Dochgarroch onto the Loch itself with a photo opportunity of Urquhart Castle
Excursion 2
Take your seat on "One of the best railway journeys in the world" according to Michael Palin. We join in Dingwall and enjoy the spectacular scenery as we journey to the Kyle of Lochalsh. In Kyle our coach awaits to take you over the bridge to the Isle of Skye, an island full of mystery and history. Included is a light lunch at the Dunollie Hotel, Broadford. Returning over the bridge, stopping at Eilean Donan Castle for photos, before crossing The Highlands from the west coast to east coast with even more spectacular scenery
Excursion 3
Our journey today takes us to Golspie to join our picturesque rail journey which traces the North Sea coastline, passing fairy-tale Dunrobin Castle and the beautiful beaches around Brora. Experience how remote Scotland can be passing famous salmon rivers & distilleries with miles of moorland before re-joining our coach at Thurso. A tour & tasting has been arranged at the Wolfburn Distillery before our visit to nearby John O'Groats, the most northerly point on mainland Britain. Returning south by coach stopping at what once used to be the mighty fishing port of Wick, on your return to the hotel** CHANGE TO HOLIDAY ITINERARY ** ** 2025 Itinerary Change **Scotrail have advised that the Dingwall and Dunrobin/Thurso line unfortunately will be closed between 9th and 29th June 2025 due to engineering works.
