From the palms of Northern Italy we head to the stylish resorts of the Swiss Alps, and how we join the two is sure to be the highlight of this special holiday. The unique Bernina Express is quite simply an amazing train journey, negotiating 55 tunnels and 196 bridges as we pass over the highest railway of the Alps, its highest point being 2253 metres above sea level. And thanks to the modern panoramic cars, you will enjoy unrestricted views of the unspoilt Alpine panorama. This truly will be a holiday to remember.

Early morning pickups and we travel to Dover for our ferry crossing, we then continue to our overnight hotel – The Novotel in Metz
Our journey continues as we travel into Italy and arriving at our hotel at Lake Iseo in time for dinner
Enjoy a relaxing day around the hotel today, make use of the outdoor pool, wander through the lovely gardens to the Lakeside and then onward to the town with pavement cafes serving up regional delight and surely an Italian ice cream will be in order.
We enjoy a lovely tour around Lake Iseo today. We stop firstly at Sarnico with quaint narrow streets and pretty piazza's before joining one of the boats for a cruise to the north of the lake to Lovere, a pretty artist’s haunt. We return to Iseo along the eastern shores of the pretty lake.
The highlight of our holiday, we make our way to Tirano to board the Bernina Express for our amazing journey through to Davos in Switzerland. Here’s just a few of the highlights of the journey.• The Brusio Circular Viaduct is a true masterpiece of bridge engineering, built to limit the gradient of the line to just 7 per cent.• The 136-metre-long Landwasser Viaduct is the signature structure of the Railway• The Montebello Curve is one of the most widely photographed points on the Line.• The waters of Lago Bianco flow south to the Adriatic and east, into the Black Sea.On arrival into Switzerland we make our way to the fashionable resort of Klosters where we spend the next 3 nights at the 4* Silvretta Park Hotel.
Enjoy a free day in Klosters, why not take the cable car up the mountain to enjoy some dramatic views over the valley.
We enjoy a scenic drive to St. Moritz, this Alpine town has been luring royals and celebrities since 1864, and it’s your turn. With its shimmering aquamarine lake, emerald forests and aloof mountains, the town looks a million dollars. The ideal way to see it is by one of the many horse and carriage rides
Leaving Switzerland today we enjoy some beautiful scenery as we head to over overnight stay in Frances Champagne Region – Reims.
Back to Calais for our ferry and then onward to the North West for approx. 8pm.
