BALA LAKE & BARMOUTH - Our day excursion takes us on a pretty scenic drive through lovely Welsh scenery taking us firstly to Wales largest natural lake - Bala Lake. We have a short stop here to take in the stunning scenery then continue through the Snowdonia National Park to the seaside town of Barmouth - where the Mountains meet the Sea. There is a wide range of independent shops, cafes. pubs and restaurants, so a day can be spent browsing, dipping in and out of shops with regular coffee stops, and maybe an ice cream on the harbour watching the boats and seagulls, the towns history can be explored via the Heritage Trail, and visiting the two museums.
