What a special weekend break we have for you centred around Shakespeare's wonderful Stratford Upon Avon. We'll stay in the heart of the town, enjoy a sail on the River, spend free time exploring and experience a nostalgic Steam train Journey with Sunday Lunch served on board. Day One
We visit lovely Lichfield on Market day en-route to Stratford upon Avon
Day Two
Our day starts with a lovely sail along the River Avon, enjoy the commentary on board and learn more about this famous town. Following your sail, you'll have the remainder of the day free to explore Stratford at your own pace.
Day Three
A relaxed morning before the highlight of our weekend - The Shakespeare Express. Sit back and sink into your sumptuous and plush Pullman carriage seat in opulent and nostalgic surroundings, as the attentive onboard staff attend to you with your starter course at around 1pm. The train runs outward via Dorridge, allowing a fantastic branch line experience followed by the thrill of fast, main line steam. Your main course is served as the train approaches Birmingham, and you have time to relax and enjoy it in your luxurious surroundings and can also pop off the train to see our locomotive at Birmingham Snow Hill station. We return to Stratford via the Shakespeare Line, with rolling fields, lakes, rivers and even a canal aqueduct visible from your window. Dessert is served as we near the journey's end, returning you to Stratford-upon-Avon at around 3pm
Day Four
Cutting across country we return to the North West via the lovely towns of the Severn Valley with stops in Kidderminster & Bridgnorth before heading back for approx. 4.30pm
