Our chosen hotel - The Manor House, with stunning view across Dartmoor, offers a seemingly endless list of things to do during your stay, with an array of tutored Crafts such as Card Making, Painting, Candle Making, Jewellery making, Embroidery, Pottery and much more. That's just some of the crafts on offer, now what about the sports and leisure? Let's start with it having the largest Golf Course in the UK with 99 holes on offer, there's also tennis and racquet sports, three indoor bowls halls, 10Pin Bowling, archery and guided walks. There's also an indoor swimming pool, sauna and spa bath. If you can drag yourself away from all of this, we've included two excursions exploring the beautiful Devon Country side and stunning Dartmoor - spectacular year round, but in Autumn - the colours are simply mesmerising.

Manor House Hotel * * *
We've already established that the facilities at the hotel are second to none, with Crafts and leisure activities galore, so now the bedrooms. All are en-suite with TV, tea/coffee making facilities and hairdryer. There's a choice of bars and lounges, many with stunning views of Dartmoor. No lift rooms on ground or first floor.
EXCURSION 1: This morning we visit the Museum of Dartmoor Life in Okehampton before heading into the stunning National Park. We drive over the moor and enjoy a stop at Princetown, with its visitor centre and the Prison Museum where we have included entrance and free time to enjoy the views before we return to our hotel via even more stunning Dartmoor scenery.
EXCURSION 2: We head to the coast this morning and our first stop is the place of legends -Tintagel, was this the birthplace of King Arthur, the locals certainly think so. After exploring here we continue to the popular seaside town of Bude for the afternoon.Back to top
