Our base is the pretty market town of Bideford, set on the River Torridge and offering a thriving shopping centre and working harbour. In the 16th century Bideford was Britain's third largest port, today the narrow town centre streets lead down to the tree lined quay which bustles with fishing vessels, cargo and pleasure boats. Excursions to Barnstaple & Ilfracombe and lovely Clovelly are included

EXCURSION 1:
We head to the bustling market town of Barnstaple for our morning stop with it's historic Pannier Market taking place in the heart of town all week long. Following free time we enjoy a beautiful scenic drive to the North Devon Coast enjoying the afternoon in the popular resort town of Ilfracombe.
EXCURSION 2:
We enjoy a half day excursion to Clovelly. This is a really unique pedestrian village which follows the steep cobbled road from the top of and winding down to the sea front and small harbour at the bottom. Entrance to the village is included, for those who may not feel up to walking down to the bottom there isplenty to do at the top, visit Clovelly Court Gardens, see the famous Clovelly Donkeys, enjoy a cuppa in the visitor centre tea rooms or stroll along the manywalks. From the visitor centre you can purchase a ticket in one of the towns land rovers which operate a shuttle service to the bottom.

Situated just outside Bideford, the hotel provides it's guest with a high standard of personal service, comfort and cuisine, all helping to make your stay a pleasant one.
