Itinerary
Day 1 - After joining your holiday coach, relax and enjoy the scenery and after a stop mid- day in 'the City of Dreaming Spires - Oxford - your route takes you through some very pretty countryside to your base on the outskirts of Hereford. 3 nights here with breakfast & dinner.
Day 2 - 3 At leisure in Hereford with one included excursion
Hereford
Hereford is the Cathedral City with the relaxed atmosphere of a country market town. Its origin dates back to Saxon times and today visitors delight in the harmony of a rich heritage and modern facilities. The Black and White House Museum is a beautifully conserved 17th century house, furnished in period style. Explore the kitchen, dining hall, parlour and bedrooms, and discover the baby walkers and dog's door. Children's area with colouring activities, puzzles and dressing-up costumes. Wheelchair access to ground floor, a 'virtual' tour of the building is also available. (Small admission charge applies and not included). Coach transfer from hotel to Hereford centre included both ways.
Chepstow & Ross-on-Wye
Head through the captivating Wye Valley, an area of outstanding natural beauty, to Chepstow, an attractive market town nestled in the bend of the River Wye. Just over the border in Wales, Chepstow has a fine Norman castle and one of Britain's best-known racecourses. Onto hilly Ross-on-Wye with its impressive 17th century Market Hall and Tudor timbered houses. The spire of St Mary's church has shaped the town's skyline for over 700 years.
Day 4 - Depart the Hotel after breakfast and commence your homeward journey with a pleasant stop in Cheltenham before continuing on to interchange.
