Today it is an attractive, modern development filled with restaurants, bars and shops in the former 19th-century warehouses. The area buzzes with life and is a great place for a stroll along the water's edge and to Millennium Square with its fountains and world-class attractions. You may like to visit Brunel’s ground-breaking SS Great Britain, one of the most important historic ships in the world and a template for all modern ships to come (entrance not included – approx £22 pp in 2026 - pre-booking may be required).
