Historic Holme Lacy House is a stunning Renaissance-style mansion completed in 1674 by the second Viscount Scudamore and was reportedly visited by Charles II, and William Pitt, 1st Earl of Chatham, who held cabinet meetings in the gardens. Set in 20 acres of glorious Grade II listed gardens and landscaped parkland in the picturesque Wye Valley, Holme Lacy is truly one of Herefordshire's treasures and the ideal place to embrace the good life and soak up history in its lovingly restored panelled state rooms and as you ascend the original grand main staircase. There's plenty to do with excellent facilities and a daily programme of entertainment and activities and there is also an included visit to the whimsical Ralph Court Gardens and the Cathedral City of Hereford.

Your Holiday Itinerary

Day 1 - After joining your holiday coach, enjoy a scenic drive to Holme Lacy to arrive late afternoon for 3 or 4 nights. DBB

Entertainment – May - Midweek Variety with fantastic visiting artists and the Warner Theatre Co
Entertainment – September – Weekend Live starring Disco Inferno and their amazing band performing hits such as Celebration, I Will Survive, Boogie Wonderland and more plus the Warner Theatre Co

Day 2 – 3 (or 4)   At leisure in Herefordshire with one included excursion and one optional excursion.

INCLUDED EXCURSION 
RALPH COURT GARDENS & HEREFORD
Head to the mythical world of Ralph Court Gardens in Bromyard. Crafted to reflect their love of the arts, mythology and culture, owners Stephen and Paula have designed a set of 12 quirky themed gardens. Unique, whimsical & creative, horticulture is at the heart of the gardens where you can enjoy rose gardens, dwarf conifers, bog gardens, seasonal bedding schemes, Italianate and Japanese planting and much more. Every garden has seating, allowing visitors to relax and take in the details including water features and sound effects. Experience an Italian Piazza, an African Jungle, a Dragon Pool, Alice in Wonderland and ‘Monet's Waterlily Garden’. Then head into Hereford, the Cathedral City with the relaxed atmosphere of a country market town. Its origin dates back to Saxon times and today visitors delight in the harmony of a rich heritage and modern facilities. Make sure to drop into Hereford's grand cathedral, home to the magnificent Mappa Mundi, the famous medieval map which shows how scholars interpreted the world over 700 years ago (entrance not included £7.50 in 2026 – exhibition closed Sundays). 

OPTIONAL EXCURSION
Ludlow 
Ludlow is a thriving medieval market town and an architectural gem with a lively community feel, busy with events and festivals throughout the year. The historic town centre and the 11th century Ludlow Castle are situated on a cliff above the River Teme and are surrounded by the beautiful countryside of south Shropshire and the Welsh Marches. Explore the town centre with over 500 listed buildings, many in classic black-and-white Tudor style. Wander the medieval streets, maybe do a little shopping or enjoy a cuppa in a local tearoom. Nearby Ludlow Castle is one of the finest medieval ruins in England with superb views over the Shropshire countryside and the River Teme (Entrance approx. £10 pp in 2026 - sensible footwear advised). 

Return Day - After breakfast, board the coach for the homeward journey with a comfort stop on the way to be back in your home towns mid evening.

he Market Kitchen and the contemporary Brasserie 32 offer quality dining.

Guestrooms feature WiFi, tea / coffee making facilities, in-room safe, telephone, hairdryer and iron/ironing board. There is lift access.

The 20 acres of curated formal garden, originally modelled on Hampton Court Palace, feature geometric precision from its topiary and ponds to its hedges and beddings.

There are excellent facilities including indoor pool, sauna, steam, outdoor bowling green, TV cinema room and tennis courts as well as a good range of activities (croquet, aqua aerobics, boules, quizzes, talks etc). Some activities such as archery, rifle shooting and gin tasting incur an additional charge (and subject to availability). 
 
All Warner Leisure Hotel sites are now cashless. Warner does not include tea/coffee after dinner. Please also note rooms are serviced every other day - should you require more tea & coffee please ask reception
