Day 1 - After joining your holiday coach, head to Warwickshire and your first visit at The British Motor Museum with over 400 classic cars. The museum tells the fascinating story of Britain’s motor industry -  from its birth to its decline and rebirth – the designers, the factories, the workers, the cars, the publicity and the drivers. See concept cars that never made it into production as well as some iconic famous firsts. A great way to kick off the weekend. Continue the short distance to check into the 4* Chesford Grange Hotel with porterage on arrival. DBB

Day 2 - Coventry Transport Museum & National Motorcycle Museum 
Head to Coventry and the world-class Transport Museum which houses the largest publicly owned collection of British vehicles on the planet and tells the story of a city which changed the world through transport. You can expect captivating displays, interactive galleries, and highly immersive exhibitions. 14 fully accessible galleries are home to the fastest vehicle in the world, pioneering bicycles, transport champions and many of the most innovative, memorable and luxurious vehicles of the last 200 years. A visit to remember!

Coventry is a city like no other - once a major engineering centre and now the rejuvenated UK City of Culture 2021. Take a look at Coventry's must-see Cathedral which opened in 1962, after the massive attack by the Luftwaffe on 14 November 1940 all but destroyed the original building. The new cathedral was built next to the ruins of the old one and its modern design caused much controversy at the time (NB cathedral opening times vary). You may like to stay on in Coventry this afternoon to further explore or join this afternoon's visit to the magnificent National Motorcycle Museum which boasts 1000 plus machines, fully restored to the manufacturers original specifications. There is a comprehensive cross-section of British machines, spanning the “60 Glorious Years” of motorcycle manufacturing in this country.

Day 3 - Black Country Living Museum & Wythall Transport Museum 
Leave the 21st century behind and experience the Black Country of yesteryear with over 250 years of history, from the Industrial Revolution to post-war prosperity, through living interpretation at Black Country Living Museum in Dudley. There are over 80,000 items in the collection, from clothing and cutlery to buildings and vintage vehicles, two mine shafts, limekilns and a canal arm. The costumed characters bring history to life and you can head underground for a glimpse of life as an 1850s miner or test your times tables in a 1912 school lesson. 

Head back to the hotel by way of the Transport Museum, Wythall which shows how public transport enabled people to get out and about with its fine collection of buses and there is also a massive collection of restored battery electric vehicles 

Day 4 - Time to check out and head homewards. An en-route visit and tour of one of the most modern car plants in Britain, the BMW MINI Plant at Oxford Cowley, is planned this morning but please note that this can only be confirmed approx. 3 months prior to the date. The legendary MINIs have been rolling off the production line here since 2001. Experience the most exciting elements of car production in around 100 min: from the so-called ‘Body-in-white’, the bodyshell, to the finished, personalised MINI. You will visit the state of the art plant and see how thousands of parts come together to produce up to 800 MINIs per day.

Please note in the event that the factory tour is not available, a reduction will be made to the tour price and an en-route stop to popular Stratford-upon-Avon will be made instead prior or arriving at interchange and then on to your home towns this evening Back to top
