Atruly magical weekend awaits - Rüdesheim at Christmas time has a charm of its own set against the lovely views over the River Rhine. Nestled in the town's chocolate-box old quarter, the Christmas market in Rüdesheim brings a distinctly festive feel to the romantic old town and its popular Drosselgasse lane, as over 100 stalls, representing 12 countries, gather to present Christmas customs and traditions from around the world. Among a huge choice of local and global foods, try some Scandinavian specialities on the Drosselgasse or a taste of the Far East in the Mongolian marquee. An absolute must-do is to try some delicious Rüdesheim Coffee, which is exclusively made with locally distilled Asbach Uralt brandy and whipped cream, traditionally served in an authentic Rüdesheim coffee set.
PLEASE NOTE: Price is per person and based on two people sharing a twin/double room. Single room supplements and upgrades are not included.

Day 1 - After joining your holiday coach you then head to Dover for the short sea crossing to Calais. Continue your journey via the auto-routes of France, Belgium and Germany to Rüdesheim where you will stay for 3 nights. Expect a very late arrival at the hotel who will have prepared a cold snack awaiting you in your bedroom. Please note there is no porterage service at this hotel
Day 2 - 3 - Dinner, bed and breakfast at the hotel. At leisure in Rudesheim, with an included excursion to Wiesbaden 'Twinklig Star' Market.

Wiesbaden -'Twinkling Star' market
Wiesbaden's Christmas market on the picturesque Schlossplatz square is set against the backdrop of the old and new town hall's imposing market church and Hessen's regional assembly building. Four gates in the shape of lilies form the entrances to the market, where the oriental-style stalls decked out in blue and gold are a treasure trove of arts and crafts. Festively illuminated lilies from Wiesbaden's coat of arms shine out over the market and the city centre. Other highlights include the Nativity scene with life-size figures.
Day 4 A very early start today with packed breakfast provided to travel back through Germany, Belgium and France to Calais for the return to England.

The popular restaurant, 'Stieblers' serves regional cuisine and there is an outdoor terrace in the summer.
