Itinerary

Your Itinerary

Day 1 – Join the coach at your chosen point – sit back and relax as you head into the Cotswolds. Enjoy some free time in Bourton on the Water before heading to Chipping Campden and your overnight hotel – the Three Ways. Time to freshen up before dinner. This evening your meal will be served in the Terrace Room (choose your meal on arrival) and for all you sweet tooths save room to try all the delicious puddings.

Day 2 – Full English breakfast and check out. Enjoy the journey to Stow on the Wold.  The vast Market Square testifies to the town’s former importance. At one end stands the ancient cross, and at the other the town stocks, shaded between an old elm tree. Around the square see the elegant array of Cotswold town houses and shops. Stow is an important shopping centre and has many fine Antique shops, Art galleries, Gifts and Crafts. Time permitting continue onto Burford. Burford’s famous High Street sweeps downhill towards the River Windrush, its three-arched medieval bridge and its impressive church, both sides of the street flanked by an unbroken line of ancient houses and shops.

Little has changed over the centuries, Burford is popular with visitors, both for its beauty and history but also for its shopping, especially antiques, and for the wide variety of places to eat, with restaurants, pubs and teashops.

Accommodation

Home of the Famous Pudding Club!

The Mickleton Hotel, Chipping Campden – 3 Star

There are 48 individually styled bedrooms; cosy doubles and some superior rooms are located in the main house, whilst six of the seven quirky pudding theme rooms and classic rooms are located in the garden wing. There are a number of ground-floor rooms; some of these have pretty, private patio gardens.

Each bedroom has a shower and/or bath and is equipped with tea/coffee making facilities, homemade biscuits, hairdryer, remote control TV, radio, direct dial phone and free Wi-Fi.

The Pudding Club was founded at the Three Ways House Hotel in 1985 to prevent the demise of the great British Pudding, at a time when restaurants seemed to offer only tiny portions of Frozen Cheesecake and tasteless Gateaux.

Today the Pudding Club and its supporters can claim that their efforts have re-established such delights as Sticky Toffee Pudding, Jam Roly Poly, Syrup Sponge, Spotted Dick and Bread and Butter pudding as favourites throughout the country and beyond. Over the years, meetings of The Pudding Club have been featured on the BBC’s Food and Drink and Holiday programmes as well as numerous other TV, radio and press articles. Each week The Pudding Club goes through approximately 60 pints of Birds Custard!

Please note: This hotel was previously named The Three Ways House Hotel, but is now under new ownership.
