Every year during Advent, the main Market Square in front of Trier Cathedral is transformed into a dazzling paradise of lights and colours. Absorb the festive sounds and seductive fragrances of Trier as well as Luxembourg City, which hosts a wonderful Christmas market on the Place d‘Armes.

Trier Christmas Market
Visit Trier, Germany's oldest city dating back to Roman times. Amid the medieval surroundings of the Hauptmarkt square and in front of the mighty cathedral, 95 festively decorated wooden huts create an enchanting Christmas atmosphere in Germany's oldest town, renowned for its UNESCO status and its 2000 year old Roman Porta Nigra gate. At the Trier Christmas Market you will find a great variety of Christmas articles, ranging from Christmas decorations, wooden toys, candles, hand-blown or engraved glassware up to gift articles and ceramics.
Luxembourg City & Markets
A full day excursion to Luxembourg City. Set on the River Alzette, the history of Luxembourg City dates from AD 963 when Count Siegfried built a castle overlooking the river. Luxembourg's multicultural Christmas Markets boast a more relaxed and European flavour, for example Stollen from Saxony and French Christmas log are on sale side by side!
Day 4 - After breakfast, travel back through Belgium and France to Calais for your return to England. Back to top
