4 days

Pretty Vianden has long been a firm favourite with Crusader customers. Thousands are charmed each year by the narrow lanes, gothic churches, the ramparts and fortified towers of this medieval town which is dominated by the magnificent castle. For 2017 we have included a day in Luxembourg City as well as a day in Roman Trier, Germany’s oldest city. Enjoy a fabulous getaway break to one of Europe’s ‘secret’ corners for Valentine’s, Easter or any time of year. The October weekend coincides with the local Vianden ‘Nut Fair’ and in November you can expect some excellent musical entertainment.

Founded as Augusta Treverorum in 15 BC, Trier grew to become capital of the Western Roman Empire by the third century AD and is now home to northern Europe's finest ensemble of Roman monuments including the magnificent Porta Nigra gate, elaborate thermal baths and amphitheatre. Also known for being the birthplace of Karl Marx, atmospheric Trier sits right on the Moselle, surrounded by vineyards and you may like to enjoy a river cruise (not included).
