Ludlow & Ludlow Castle (all tours)
Enjoy a day at leisure in lovely Ludlow to explore the town, may be do a little shopping or enjoy a cuppa in a local tearoom. There is a traditional open-air market on Saturdays and Mondays. Entrance is included to Ludlow Castle, one of the finest medieval ruins in England with superb views over the Shropshire countryside. Walk through the Castle grounds and explore the ancient lodgings of kings, queens, princes, judges and the nobility. Your visit will be escorted by 'Lady Caroline', your expert guide who will give you an illuminating glimpse into the history and lifestyle of medieval and Tudor society. Sensible footwear advised as the castle is an outdoor ruin with cobbles, grass, gravel and steps

Croft Castle & Hereford (all tours)
Situated on the English-Welsh border, Croft is a quiet, ancient place steeped in British history and politics with a picturesque castle and medieval parkland re-fashioned during the 18th century. The Croft family have been key players and confidantes to England's leaders since 1055. From Edward the Confessor to Winston Churchill, find out how the family played their part in major historical events. The castle is surrounded by 1,500 acres of woods, park and farmland and the two acre walled garden is a wildlife haven, attracting butterflies, bees, birds and insects. It is the perfect place to enjoy the changing seasons, with daffodils and blossom in spring, and apples in autumn. There is a café and accessible route maps are available. The first floor of the castle is accessed via a staircase. Hereford is the Cathedral City with the relaxed atmosphere of a country market town. Its origin dates back to Saxon times and today visitors delight in the harmony of a rich heritage and modern facilities.  You may like to visit beautiful Hereford Cathedral, a place of worship for over 1300 years. The magnificent Mappa Mundi, located in a museum within the cathedral, is unique in Britain's heritage; an outstanding treasure of the medieval world, it records how 13th-century scholars interpreted the world (entrance applies - approx. £8.50 pp in 2025)

Black & White Village Trail (5 day tour only)
A scenic drive through Herefordshire's famously pretty Black & White Villages is an absolute delight and is like travelling back to yesteryear. Tudor villages with half-timbered buildings, hopyards, orchards and farmland - it doesn't get more quintessentially English than this. The timber-framed architecture is brimming with character, and the villages are peppered with cosy pubs and tea rooms, art galleries and village shops. Travel via Mortimers Cross, scene of a historic battle during the War of the Roses to the three 'must-see' villages - riverside Eardisland, photogenic Pembridge and delightful Weobley

Return Day - Check out this morning and head back to your hometowns via interchange with an interesting en-route stop. Back to top

The Feathers Hotel, Ludlow

The beautiful 3* Feathers Hotel, with its authentic half-timbered Tudor façade, is a landmark building in the heart of Ludlow. It boasts a rich heritage, built in 1619 and converted into a hotel in 1670, it has welcomed guests for over 350 years.

It retains many original features, including intricate oak carvings, lattice windows, and its famous façade bearing the Prince of Wales' feathers emblem.
