This flagship museum is set in 10 acres of the poets’ cherished countryside and includes the humble cottage where he was born as well as a modern museum which houses artefacts from his life including handwritten manuscripts. You may be interested to visit the excellent Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum with its first-rate art collection and diverse objects from around the world or the award-winning Riverside which holds an excellent ensemble of historic vehicles (both free entry).
