Dover Castle & The Secret Wartime Tunnels (Admission included)
Step into the dazzling medieval royal palace in the Great Tower, where you can immerse yourself into the King's court life; meet the first of many of the lifelike projected figures guiding you round the sumptuously furnished chambers, and meet the costumed characters.
The Bunker pits visitors against the clock in a thrilling scenario inspired by the Castle's real life Cold War history. Work together as a group to find clues, solve puzzles, crack codes and complete challenges as you try to make it to the safety of the nuclear bunker. Head underground and explore the darkly atmospheric Secret Wartime Tunnels that bury deep into the iconic white cliffs of Dover, with vivid recreations telling the story of the Dunkirk evacuation, complete with dramatic projections of swooping Spitfires and real film footage.
Day 4 En route to interchange a stop has been arranged at The Battle of Britain Memorial at Capel Le Ferne. Pause while looking out to sea and imagine how it must have felt to watch wave after wave of Luftwaffe bombers heading this way during the conflict that changed history - and then visit the Christopher Foxley-Norris Memorial Wall to see the names of the fewer than 3,000 RAF aircrew who took up the challenge.
A replica Hurricane and Spitfire and busts of Sir Keith Park and Lord Dowding add to the attractions, while a well-stocked souvenir shop and a good range of refreshments on offer in the Cockpit Cafe will complete your visit. Onward early afternoon to interchange and your home towns.Back to top
