Day 2 - 4 - At leisure in Yorkshire with two included excursions and entrance to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park

INCLUDED EXCURSIONS
Yorkshire Wildlife Park
A free day to step out of the hotel to visit the Yorkshire Wildlife Park. As the UK's number one walk-through wildlife experience, you're in for a 'roarsome' day out with around 475 animals to meet! Among the 60 different species, one of the top highlights is the Project Polar, home to 'The Boys', 6 majestic, fascinating and playful Polar Bears each with its own unique personality and story. You'll also find magnificent African Lions in the 7-acre Lion Country, a family of Californian sea lions in the largest purpose-built habitat of its kind in the world plus a 300-metre raised walkway above Land of the Tigers. Other beasts to look out for include rhinos, giraffes, red pandas, leopards, monkeys, lemurs, zebras and many more! The adjacent Yorkshire Hive complex provides an exciting and diverse atmosphere that's worlds away from the traditional high street with over 20 independent shops, boutiques, and eateries. From locally-crafted gifts to one-of-a-kind fashion finds, the shops offer a refreshing alternative to mainstream retail.

Lincoln & Lincoln Cathedral
One of Europe's finest cathedral cities brimming with history and heritage, Lincoln has a vibrant and contemporary edge that adds an exciting dimension to any visit. An experience rich in history combines with independent boutique shopping, great arts and culture and a wealth of places to eat and drink. The compact city is easily walkable for visitors with good mobility - the main shopping and tourist area stretches from St Marks Shopping centre in the south up to the Cathedral Quarter known locally as 'Uphill' via Steep Hill, a very steep, cobbled street lined with independent shops and quaint tea rooms. Entrance is included to the magnificent Lincoln Cathedral, a fine gothic building dating back to the 11th century, which reveals hundreds of years of history. Despite its size, the cathedral is filled with intricate detail, strange carvings and the famous Lincoln Imp! Plenty of free time in Lincoln to explore before returning to the hotel

Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway, Fish & Chips & Cleethorpes
Blow the cobwebs away today in Cleethorpes, the Victorian seaside town which developed into a healthy holiday resort in the 19th century when sea-bathing and the taking of medicinal waters became fashionable. The historic pier opened in 1873 and the promenade in 1885. Sea View Street is known as the oldest shopping street in Cleethorpes and features a number of small independent shops and cafes. Hop aboard the Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway (CCLR), historic miniature railway with its fabulous fleet of little locomotives. The 45-minute scenic return journey (may operate by steam or diesel) travels along the beautiful Lincolnshire coastline.  A delicious fish & chip lunch is included on the trip. Maybe try your hand at the 9-hole crazy golf course or indulge with a refreshing beverage (or two!) from the world-renowned Signal Box Inn - "The smallest pub on the planet!" measuring just 8ft x 8ft. Enjoy some time at leisure to relax and explore before returning to the hotel.

Day 5 - After breakfast, say farewell and return homewards, arriving back at your local joining points early to mid-evening. Back to top
