Weymouth's history is fascinating. Look up just about anywhere in town and you'll see some historical feature - from locally carved stonemasonry and gargoyles to wooden décor or construction dates on the fronts of strangely shaped buildings. Why not stroll through the Nothe Gardens, Weymouth's Victorian sub-tropical garden overlooking the bay. With views of Portland to the right and Swanage in the distance to the left, these gardens are unique.

Plan My Trip

Day 1 Depart for the coast via Winchester for a refreshment stop before arriving at your resort hotel.

3 nights with breakfast & dinner.

Day 2 - 3 At leisure in Weymouth with two included excursions.

Isle of Purbeck, Swanage & Lulworth Cove
Enjoy a relaxing excursion around the Dorset coastline. Meander through the Isle of Purbeck with views of Corfe Castle on the way to the popular resort of Swanage. This small town surrounds a beautiful curved bay offering a lovely seaside experience with a difference. Your driver will offer you an optional ride on The Swanage Railway which offers a more intensive heritage steam and diesel timetable train service than virtually any other preserved railway. The day finishes with a visit to Lulworth Cove, with its steeply shelving, shingle beach.

West Bay & Sidmouth
With the stunning sandstone cliffs and shimmering Golden Cap, West Bay is the Golden Gateway to the Jurassic Coast. Onto Sidmouth full of Regency history, clean beaches and friendly shops. Nestling beneath majestic red cliffs backed by the green hills of the glorious Sid Valley and well worth a visit.

Day 4 After breakfast, head back homewards.
