Your Itinerary

DAY 1 -  After joining your holiday coach, you will travel to Dover for the short sea crossing to Calais. Continue into France and on to your overnight hotel at 3* Mercure Saarbrücken Süd with dinner included DBB

DAY 2 - Relax and watch the scenery unfold as you continue southwards into Italy for your 5 night stay DBB

During your stay in Toscolano enjoy one live music evening, 3 course candlelit dinner with set menu, Christmas Day lunch with drinks, welcome fruit cocktail on arrival & cold buffet breakfast.

DAYS 3 - 6 - At leisure in Toscolano Maderno with three included excursions.

 Trento Christmas Market

Head to Trento, the regional capital of Trentino, which sits in the Adige Valley and is surrounded by the Dolomite Mountains with magnificent views. From mid-November until early January, the streets of the old town are decorated with festive lights with pretty wooden huts clustered around the Piazza Fiera and Piazza Cesare Battisti. At this lovely Christmas Market you'll find plenty of local handicrafts, gift ideas and of course, all manner of typical Italian and Trentino delicacies. There is a reason why Trento is known as Citta del Natale (Christmas Town)!

Riva Del Garda

Riva del Garda is located at the north point of stunningly beautiful Lake Garda. This is the dramatic end of the lake where mountains rise steeply on either side and Riva sits on the shore with a backdrop of lake, valley and hills. to enjoy a gentle stroll along the lakeside promenade or a saunter through the beautifully preserved, pedestrianised Old Town. Discover the Christmas Village "Di Gusto in Gusto", a market dedicated to culinary specialities.

Boxing Day

Verona

The city of Verona is rich of Roman antiquities (the city is also known as little Rome), nevertheless it is mostly famous as the setting of the love story Romeo and Juliet.  Juliet's balcony has for many years seen tourists flock to get a glance at the spot where Romeo allegedly declared his eternal love. Known as Juliet's house, the 13th century dwelling is now a museum that still bears the coat of arms of the 'Dal Cappello', said to be the Capulet family from Shakespeare’s great love tragedy.  View from the courtyard free of charge or visit the museum with small charge, not included.

Verona is a wonderful place to visit at any time of the year but there is nothing like Christmas for the magic which infuses every part of the city. With its colourful lights, Christmas trees, decorations and traditional sweet treats, it is very much the most wonderful time of the year!

DAY 7 - It's arrivederci to Lake Garda today as you head northwards on the way to your final overnight at 3* Mercure Saarbrücken Süd with dinner included. DBB

DAY 8 - After breakfast, continue through France to Calais for the return crossing to England.

This is a friendly, 3* family run hotel, where the owner, Erminio will ensure you have a comfortable and memorable stay.


All rooms come with en-suite facilities, TV and air-conditioning. This traditionally styled hotel is surrounded by attractive gardens and is located in the pleasant resort of Toscolano, on the 'Riviera of Lemons', just 100m from the lake.


Typical Italian restaurant and bar. There is a lift in the main hotel but not in the garden annex.

Please note that not all Continental Hotels have tea and coffee making facilities in the bedrooms.
