Each year, the arrival of little wooden huts in the squares of Black Forest's towns and villages is a major event. The Christmas markets mark the return of time-honoured festivities. A world of delicious fragrances, delightfully, crafted artisan goods and lights quickly takes shape.
Christmas in Alsace is the promise of a welcoming, authentic Christmas. A warm, cosy atmosphere, delicate aromas of cinnamon and spices, sublime decorations and illuminations come together to create that special atmosphere that takes over all of the Alsatian region!

Day 1 - After joining your holiday coach, travel to Dover for the short sea crossing to Calais. Continue via the auto-routes of France to your hotel in Kehl-Kork for your 3 night stay. Your arrival today at the hotel will be late and hotel will serve an evening snack on arrival.

A magic atmosphere prevails in Freiburg, right in the heart of the historical old city, where young and old alike delight in a wide variety of traditional craft products, including glass blowing and colourful wooden toys. An aroma of mulled wine, grilled sausages, gingerbread biscuits and roast chestnuts wafts through the idyllic narrow streets. You'll find countless ideas for gifts - jewellery, puppets, ceramics, candles, Christmas tree decorations, plus a great deal more. You'll soon feel at home between the rustic wooden stalls, amidst the cosy golden glow of all the lights.
Christkindelsmärik Strasbourg
For four centuries now, the emblematic Christkindelsmärik has been working its magic in 'The Capital of Christmas'. Over 300 wooden chalets, spread around different squares in the city, invite you to make some mesmerising discoveries in a fairytale atmosphere. Strasbourg cathedral is an outstanding masterpiece of Gothic art and a must-see during your visit.
Day 4 - After an early start travel back through Germany, Belgium and France to Calais for your return to England.
