Your Itinerary

Day 1 - After joining your holiday coach, travel to Dover for the short ferry crossing to Calais. Continue along the autoroutes of France to your overnight hotel near Dijon. BB

Day 2 - After breakfast, continue through France crossing over the Pyrenees and over the border at Perpignan arriving early evening at Calella for your 6-night stay DBB with wine & water included with dinner each night

Day 3 - 7 - At leisure in Calella with TWO INCLUDED excursions

INCLUDED EXCURSIONS
Barcelona
Travel to the Mediterranean city of Barcelona, the capital of Catalonia.  Steeped in history and tradition, culture and the arts flourish in Barcelona and there are many examples of the distinctive style of Gaudi, Spain's most famous architect.  You'll find magnificent architecture and excellent shopping in the famous Ramblas. Colourful flower stalls and street entertainers abound, adding to the city's unique character. 

Girona -Tuesday 
Northern Catalonia's largest city, Girona is a jewellery box of museums, galleries and Gothic churches, strung around a web of cobbled lanes and medieval walls. Reflections of Modernista mansions shimmer in the Riu Onyar, which separates the walkable historic centre on its eastern bank from the gleaming commercial centre on the west. Pick up some Catalonian treats at the fabulous street market! Returning to Calella late afternoon.

OPTIONAL EXCURSION
Besalu - Half Day
A historic gem, full to the brim with character, Besalu is a magnificent example of a medieval town. Cobbled streets and facades and a wonderful bridge are the trademarks of Besalu.The stone, bricks and cobbles that make up this historic town  have been there for hundreds of years and the impressive architecture draws visitors from far and wide. Situated in the La Garrotxa region in the province of Girona, Besalú is a haven for history buffs, who flock in huge numbers to admire the many constructions and facades representing Romanesque, Gothic and medieval influences. 

Day 8 - Retrace your steps through France, stopping for lunch opportunities en-route before continuing to your overnight hotel near Dijon. BB

Day 9 - After breakfast,  continue through France to Calais for your return to England.

IMPORTANT TRAVEL INFORMATION 

EES
EES (European Entry & Exit System).   This is the new entry and exit system for UK citizens (and many other citizens) when entering or exiting the EU. For more information, please visit https://travel-europe.europa.eu/en/ees

The new Entry/Exit System (EES) will start operations on 12 October 2025.

European countries using the EES will introduce the system gradually at their external borders.

This means that data collection will be gradually introduced at border crossing points with full implementation by 10 April 2026

ETIAS

The ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorization System) 'Visa-waiver' programme will start operations in the last quarter of 2026.

Please note: Once implemented ETIAS will be compulsory, like a Passport. No ETIAS - No Entry. It is your responsibility to make sure you have the required documentation in place.

This modern 5* hotel is in an excellent location just a short 2 minute walk from the beach and 5 minutes from the centre. All guestrooms are bright and comfortable with air conditioning, hair dryer, WiFi, private facilities, tea / coffee making facilities and balcony. There are indoor and outdoor pools with pool bar, sun terrace, lounge, spa facilities, lift and 24 hour reception. The Bahari Beach Club is located on Garbí Beach, just 200 metres from the door of the hotel, and has a bar-restaurant area open from morning until dawn, where you can sample typical dishes of regional cuisine, tapas, snacks, cocktails and drinks. A fee applies for the indoor pool, beach sun loungers & umbrellas (please ask hotel reception) as does access to the Kaktus Sky Lounge on the 8th floor, There are two bars and a buffet restaurant.
