INCLUDED EXCURSIONS
A Day in Rouen with guided walking tour
Enjoy a full day, Rouen is one of Normandy's most engaging and historically rich destinations.  Discover its imposing Gothic cathedral, the remarkable Gros-Horloge clock tower, narrow streets of timber framed houses and a bustling commercial centre. Monet's famous depictions of Rouen Cathedral have made this vast edifice many visitors' favourite building in the city, but there are also many fine museums to explore. Enjoy a guided walking tour with a local English-speaking guide through Old Rouen to step back in time as you re-trace the steps of Joan of Arc, a key figure in French history, to see where she was tried for heresy and burnt at the stake. The remainder of the day is yours to carrying on exploring at your own pace.

Fécamp, Palais Bénédictine & Etretat
Framed by some of the tallest cliffs (over 300ft) on the Alabaster Coast, Fécamp is an historic seaside town which was home to the Dukes of Normandy until 1204. A fishing port, seaside resort, artistic and religious pilgrimage site, and home to the famous Benedictine liqueur, Fécamp oozes authenticity and a way of life inextricably linked to the sea. After time in the town centre, enjoy a guided tour of the Palais Bénédictine, the truly palatial neo-Gothic and neo-Renaissance masterpiece, constructed for Alexandre Le Grand, the entrepreneur who developed the alcoholic herbal drink, Bénédictine, having discovered the recipe left by a monk in the 16th century. Visit the impressive museum collections and the world's one & only Bénédictine distillery with its hammered copper stills. A tasting of 3 Bénédictine Expressions completes the visit. Continue to the pretty seaside town of Etretat where nature has carved unusual shapes out of the white cliffs. The result is a truly picturesque spot which has attracted many Impressionist painters, who sought to capture the cliffs on canvas and is now a popular attraction.

DAY 4 - Today you head back to the docks for the return Channel crossing with a suitable stop en-route and the onward journey home.
