On your free day, perhaps take a leisurely stroll along the impressive beach which stretches over three kilometres. Or enjoy the history and beauty of the town's cultural heart with the impressive 20th century villa of Palazzo del Parco and the neoclassical St Antonio Abate Church with its exquisite marble villas and beautiful frescoes

INCLUDED EXCURSIONS
Alassio
This half day excursion takes you on a scenic drive along the Ligurian coastline to one of its most elegant resorts, Alassio. This has been a preferred choice of destination for travellers since the 18th century, attracted by its 4 kilometres of fine sandy beach which slopes gently into the sea.

Monaco & Monte Carlo - Fully escorted by local guide
Visit legendary Monaco, spectacularly nestled between the mountains and the Med. Vibrant Monte Carlo is the epitome of glamour and extravagance with its pretty Old Town and famous Grimaldi Palace, residence of Prince Albert II. Enjoy a little bit of Monte Carlo magic, just like the world's rich and famous, and soak up the atmosphere, marvel at the mega yachts crammed in the marina and imagine the drama at the F1 racetrack. At just eight square miles, the Principality of Monaco is the smallest and almost certainly wealthiest sovereign-state, with possibly more millionaires than anywhere else on earth. Nicknamed 'The Rock', the tiny capital, Monte Carlo, is built against the mountains, and sprawls down to the glittering shores of the Riviera.

San Remo & Dolceacqua - Fully escorted by local guide
Enjoy the spectacular Italian coastline to San Remo, Italy's own Monte Carlo, with its extravagant villas, medieval centre, picturesque harbour, plenty of Riviera-style grandeur and lovely, colourful flowers. San Remo also hides the atmospheric lanes of its medieval district called La Pigna. La Pigna, is the oldest part of the city and its tiny streets and covered alleyways wind up the hill to the gardens and sanctuary at the top. Tuesday is market day in San Remo. Then continue on, discovering the valleys and hidden villages en-route to the old stone settlement of Dolceacqua, the serene medieval gem with its beautiful 15th century humpback bridge and castle ruins, immortalised by Monet in one of his late 19th century paintings. The village is truly a place of character and charm - a real gem on the Italian Riviera

DAY 7 - Today it's farewell to Italy as you return northwards to the final stop in central France. BB

DAY 8 - After an early 'express' breakfast, travel back through France to Calais for the return to England.
