REVISED INCLUDED EXCURSION FOR 2027 Nidd Hall Hotel is an elegant stately home and an architectural gem. Set in 45 acres of lush parkland, this magnificent Grade II listed mansion was built in the 1820s for Benjamin Rawson, a wealthy Bradford wool merchant. It is rumoured to be the location where Edward VIII and Wallis Simpson first met and today, with its peaceful location on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, it is one of the most popular of the Warner collection of historic hotels. Soak up the timeless grandeur, from the spacious dining room with its beautiful copper ceiling and high marble fireplace, to the grand staircase with its wrought-iron balustrades, and the huge stained-glass panels throughout the interior. Enjoy the good life as you sip a favourite drink in the cosy courtyard or take a peaceful stroll with a member of the grounds team through the landscaped parkland, beautifully nurtured with rolling lawns, trimmed topiary and a picturesque lake. There is plenty to keep you occupied with a from the heated indoor pool, spa, choice of fitness classes including relaxing yoga or lively dance sessions and of course, first class entertainment in the evenings. HAREWOOD HOUSE & HARROGATE
Harewood sits in the heart of Yorkshire and is one of the Treasure Houses of England. The House was built in the 18th century and has art collections to rival the finest in Britain. Visitors can enjoy exhibitions of contemporary art, rare Bird Garden, Farm Experience and over 100 acres of exquisite gardens to explore. Harewood House was transformed into Buckingham Palace for both series 1 and 2 of the blockbuster ITV drama, Victoria. Many of the opulent rooms on the State Floor, the famous kitchens Below Stairs as well as exteriors of the house and parts of the Estate were used in the production. From hidden corridors to political scandal, Harewood has many stories to tell.
Then onto the lovely Victorian spa town of Harrogate. The town's elegance and style stems from its 18th century reputation as the spa town of choice for its wealthy visitors after the discovery of its medicinal waters. Explore the town's legacy of grandeur which can be seen everywhere amid its opulent buildings, green open spaces and beautiful parks and gardens. The Grade II listed Royal Pump Room Museum houses the strongest sulphur well in Europe (admission applies - approx. £4.20 pp in 2026). There are plenty of independent and well-known shops to browse or maybe sip a cuppa in the famous Bettys Café Tea Rooms.

Magnificent York is a beautiful compact riverside city famous for its Roman, Viking and Medieval heritage dating back 2000 years. Within the ancient walls and twisting atmospheric streets you will find an array of sights to discover such as the iconic York Minster, the renowned Jorvik Viking Centre, the landmark Shambles, National Railway Museum and a host of museums, shops, charming tea rooms and traditional pubs. Still encircled by its mighty walls, York was one of the great cities of the medieval world and is a treasure house for today's visitors. Day 5 - After breakfast, it's time to head home with an interesting stop en-route before continuing onwards to interchange and your home-towns. Back to top
